I am coming up to my second review and am expecting my monthly payments to increase(my wife had a salary increase recently) although they are high at the moment and I am paying £817 per month.
I am using a lot of Petrol at the moment as my Mother In Law is ill and she lives in Southampton and we are in London so a 260 mile round trip about £80 a time in petrol.
We have been doing the trip at least 3-4 times month, sometimes twice in 1 week and the cost of the added fuel is mounting up.
Can I note the increased fuel cost at my review if I explain the reasons.
Also my son has moved back home so the food bill has increasd as well.
Will this all be taken into account as if the payments increase much more it will be a real struggle to make the payments.
The increased fuel costs could be set against the payrise your wife had and if your IVA payments were not affected your IP may not have a problem. Try and keep the receipts as back up and if you need a further reduction he/she may be able to reduce payments by 15%
Don't just keep the petrol receipts, but also keep a weekly log of your mileage covered - easy to do from your car's own recording system - to demonstrate the increased miles travelled. You won't believe how anal some creditors and their representatives can be about fuel costs!
