Hello Mandamoo
I work for a company that has top secret celarance files with the MoD that I have access to. When they fould out about IVA they asked me and my company to write a letter and complete a secuirty form stating that I had worked there for so long and that the company trusted me not accept any form of bribe to release this information to anyone depite my financial problems. Can your husband talk to HR or his boss to support and help with these forms?

I was vetted at the very highest level when I was in the Army, due to the nature of the job I did at that time. Vetting is updated every five years, and being in an IVA is not something that you should be too concerned about. Just disclose the facts, and expect a few questions about the background to your financial difficulties, but remember you dealt with them in a responsible manner and H M Forces understand this.

Perhaps if they paid our servicemen and women a decent wage, things like this would not happen so often!
