Hi Lesley, thanks again for your swift reply. No its not. IVA started in 2006. Due to having cancer my IVA term was extended. I made over payments to get my final payment made in November 2012.
IVA went to complete in May. No certificate yet :-(:-(:-(. But is this an issue? It does not show on my credit report that I have an IVA.
Rappy your IVA is still active - until you have the completion certificate. so you need to be careful if applying for credit as you may be still subject to the terms and conditions of your IVA

Hi JanM I would try and get a mobile contract by another means suggested by the other posters until you get your credit score back on an even keel. Being turned down for credit can go against you so you could do more harm than good.
Rappy - you do need to have your completion certificate to be completely free from the IVA and its terms so chase it up with your IP and see what timescales they can give you. I am not sure what stage you are at with your cancer treatment but wherever it is hope all is going well for you.
