My IVA ended in January 2013, I had an extension on it, so I made my final payment in May 2013, PPI claims are still ongoing, even though I have received letters from some creditors saying they do not believe I am entitled to any refunds, (I am with GT). I know I cant expect to receive my completion certificate for quite a long time, but will the IVA fall off my credit file after 6 years (namely January 2014) and what do I actually need this certificate for if my credit file s clear and I know that all my payments have been made?
The IVA will remain on your credit file until the full closure action is taken by your IP. Once they have completed this your credit files will be cleared and slowly your credit rating will return

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
Hi. As luluj says the IVA remains active until the issue of the certificate. Until this time you are also still bound by its terms and will be required to pay in any windfalls or inheritances you might get.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I am registered with two out of the three credit report agencies - Equifax and Experian. I cant get registered with CallCredit until I get a credit or debit card - great for someone with an IVA! Anyway as my IVA started November 2006 I wrote to Equifax and as its been over 6 years, they took it off. I'm in the process of doing the same with Experian too.
On Equifax its actually not on there. Completely gone. Is this too good to be true if it never actually disappears until completion?
