Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!

Variation meeting was on Monday to leave 1 x PPI claim outstanding so my IVA could be closed. It was approved and I have received my CC today via e-mail, with the original being sent in the post today.

I have spent all afternoon e-mailing it all to the CRA's and then writing letters to my creditors with a copy of it.

I go on holiday next week (2 weeks AI in the Caribbean - first hol in 8 years) so what a perfect way to start my long awaited holiday. Fingers crossed my credit file should all be tidied up by the time I get back.

Its been a long hard slog, especially since we finished payments last October, but after getting in touch with Judith Anderton at DFD in June, she has got things moving. Still been hard and I have had to push constantly (the stress of it has made me lose excessive weight, which might be a good thing) but Im there and Im done.

Please people don't give up. Record everything and pester, pester, pester. The end result is so worth it.

I will still be chasing things up with DFD when I get back from my hols (£15k in fees OMG and no real breakdown of cost of arrangement etc) but for now it can wait.

Im Free!!!!

It's been hard but achieved 99.3p in the pound and it was projected at 86p in the £ with 10k equity release. We didn't do the equity release as kept increasing our payments so outcome overall was better (oh £7k was ppi).
DFD fees were just over £8k in the proposal but were over £15k in the end so very pleased with what we have achieved.
Bring on the rum lol
