I have entered IVA for a year now, can I change mortgage company ?

I have entered iva for a year now, and am on svr repayment with my mortgage, can i change mortgage bank company? I am with santander at the moment,were they are one of my creditors, may i try to apply to my current bank? Do i need to ask my IP before doing this? Many thanks.

Hi Jasmin. You will find it nigh on impossible to change lenders while you are in an IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Once in an IVA you cannot even re-mortgage with your current mortgage provider.

This is where people should if at all possible attempt to fix mortgage rates if at all possible before becoming insolvent.
