My parents have bought us tickets to go to Canada to visit my cousin. They know we are in the IVA and cannot afford to go on holiday and this is their treat to us. We are from the UK but are travelling from Dublin to Newfoundland and then travelling up to Nova Scotia. I am concerned that the Canadian authorities will have some sort of issue because we are in an iva and refuse us entry. Please help this is really stressing me. Thanks
I'd think they might be more interested in your work and commitments in the UK. It's worth ensuring you have some cash\travellers cheques on you so you can show how you will support yourself on holiday
Not at all. IVAs place no restriction on foreign travel whatsoever, so have a great time and enjoy the generosity of your parents. I have been to Canada twice - it is a wonderful country.
Many thanks for your quick replies, really appreciated. As i'm sure you all know it's easy to get stressed about these things! I take it there would be no issue renewing a passport either. Thanks again
