Hi All. I received my completion certificate last week after months of chasing DFD (last payment made Jan 2013) I signed a PPI deed of assignment and had an individual creditors meeting (not mass) who agreed to the closure of my IVA at the beginning of February. It's a great feeling knowing that it's finally over.

I have a question regarding the insolvency register; DFD have informed me that they insolvency service have been notified about the closure of my IVA. How long should it be before I see any update? I am aware that the record will stay visible for 3 months after completion, but am hoping that I am one of the lucky people who's record is just removed!

I've not posted on this forum much, but as it has been a good source of information during the time I've been in my IVA.

It's been a long hard 7 years, but I'm glad I choose the IVA route.

You should see the record showing completed very soon ( they update every night ) -- hopefully you will be picked up by that member of staff there who removes the record right away ... fingers crossed.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Glad to see that you have found the IVA forum of se to you throughout the IVA, and best of luck for the future. Hopefully the Insolvency Register will get updated as soon as possible, but you may have to wait the full three months.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner
