On a broad stroke Shaun I think the consensus is that the old banking establishment just do not want to deal with ex ivaers on the best and most mortgage deals and very little anyone can do about it.All the anidotal evidence points to that direction.Banks have terminated people's applications on the iva question and these are real cases.
There are absolutely no circumstances where saying you had been on an iva improve you chances!
Newer banks like Aldermore,Metro,Virgin money are probably no better.
Ivaers wouldn't need brokers from here and pay a fee if the above wasn't true.
I think 'we' have settled this now and nothing more to say on it.

I don't think there's a huge amount of debate to be had on the fact that many lenders don't like to entertain applications from ex-IVA customers but it's far from a forlorn hope. I've never hidden that fact but I do challenge lenders on it regularly. In truth I just don't think they understand the opportunity!
