I'm in the process of writing letters to creditors asking them to change default start date of iva as some r wrong and at the end of July this yr will have been 6 yrs since the start of the iva so should come off accordingly, I'm using the template letter someone on here showed me, and website. However what is a notice of correction? When I ask the creditors to change the start date they won't put a note on notice of correction will they? As presume that needs to be clear too? Thanks
Experian ( I think) routinely put a NoC on file so that when the IVA is showing, the notice explains that it is completed. They are, to be fair, trying to help. But, a NoC needs to be removed manually and will not drop off, so it tells creditors you were in an IVA after it has, itself, disappeared from view! The others might do it too.
Good thing is, if it is there the CRA will remove it when asked.

many thanks, last question I promise - if a debt is on there with wrong default date and then underneath says debt assigned to CAIS member and a start date for them, who do you send the letter to the original creditor still? or CAIS member whoever that is
I have never been quite certain on this one -- I have always thought the date can only be changed by the creditor who originally registered the default, but have heard conflicting ideas over the years as everybody seems intent on passing the buck !
