Anyone have any advice regarding recent completion certificate timescales? Desperate to get our hands on ours. We have completed our final review (Sept) and we were advised six to eight weeks which seems ambitious from my knowledge of other posts.
Thanks.
Can't say what the current time scale is now but we only waited 2 weeks back in June 2014, suggest you email the contact on this forum to chase up for you it used to be Sarah Jolly but don't think she does it know. Good luck its a great feeling when you get the letter, but a bit of a let down that its called a certificate when in fact it is just a letter!
So I can look into this for you I'd ask for you to contact me directly at Steven.hewitt@freemanjones.com. I'll then be able to obtain your account details and speak to the team on your behalf.
I look forward to hearing from you.

That's good news and well done for Steven sorting it for you.

Nice work again by FJ. Not saying that forum posters get preferential treatment but it certainly seems to speed things up when someone posts. I know in my case certainly I will try and get a posters issue resolved or their CC issued so shows the benefit of this forum.
I know his post is a little old now but thought I might look for some advice.
My husband and I made our last pavement on 6th April. We were with Harrington Brooks from Feb ‘12 but obviously as we completed Freeman jones took them over.
We have sent a few emails and made a few calls to find out when we could expect the completion certificate but to date have waited weeks for a reply and in phone calls been given different conflicting information.
We understand these things take time but so far it’s nearly 5months and nothing on land registry or the insolvency register has changed and no sign of a completion certificate. Please can someone help so we can move forwards and start the next chapter in our debt free lives.
The 6yrs we have been in the Iva have run smoothly and we’ve had a really positive experience so it’s such a shame the final hurdle is proving so difficult
Thanks
Most IVA agreements allow for 6 months before the issue of the certificate, but, of course, in many cases it is shorter. This "Admin period" can also be extended, as per the agreed terms, usually twice; once by 6 months and once by three, on giving prior notice.
Once the 6 months has passed, and in the absence of notice to extend, you can lodge a formal complaint to FJ which you can escalate to their regulatory body, via the Government Gateway, if need be.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
