I have 17 months left on my IVA my partner has offered to pay off what I owe approx £4,000 as I suffer from depression and it causes me a lot of anxiety having the IVA. Would I be able to do this?

Welcome to the forum. Your partner can offer to pay via a full and final offer with a proviso that the money will only be made available to you for this purpose. You will need to consider if you had any equity release clause or potential extensiom when calculating what you owe. As a starting point monthly payment x months remaining gives a good starting point for a f&f offer

If you have a formal medical diagnosis of depression include that information as part of the f&f.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
