hi everyone
You were all very kind and helpful when I turned to you whiles't going through my iva which was happily concluded last march with no problems.
A few months ago i was contacted by mnba saying that they owed me ppi (I didn't contact them)so they sent me a cheque and said they were passing my details onto Santander as they took over my credit card in 2007 . I then get a letter from santander saying that they were offering me £500 compensation which I duly accepted and gave them instructions to pay it into my current account with another bank. They said it would 2 weeks .
Last week I rang them as i hadnt received the money in my account and after an hour of being passed from pillar to post they finally admitted that they had credited my original credit card (the debt for that card with in the iva )of which was obviously cut up when i entered the iva.
I was told by one person that they had no knowledge of the iva and by another that it was THEIR money which I owed !
Can anyone offer any advice on this as I was not the one who originated this and I feel they have reneged on their offer
thank you

Hi - you will probably find that even if they hadn't credited the old account, (which I think is a grey area but someone else can correct me here) then the PPI would still belong to your IVA regardless that it is finished.

I would forget about it and move on.

Yes I think you are right lisa. There were at least 4 creditors in the iva who In normal circumstances I would have claimed but I didnt think it was the moral thing to do considering I entered into an iva and had the debt written off so I was very surprised to receive a letter saying I was entitled to it.
At least now by not taking it any further I can sleep well at night
