Hi all, I haven't been on here for quite some time but see some familiar faces. I did a full and final on my IVA quite a long time ago. But officially my IVA finishes today! Can't believe it.

However I realise it will be on my record for another year at least. So what do I do now? Or do I do nothing until next year? Then does the work start?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi Fiona

Congratulations on getting your CC.

Wait until the 6 years anniversary (from the start) has passed then you can begin to tidy up your credit records.

You might find this quick video I made useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

Best of luck for a debt free future.

Brilliant news! Just check your record to make sure that there are no defaults registered after the original IVA start date and, if there are, then contact the creditors with a copy of your completion and get them to remove them.

Congrats littlefi, just kick back and enjoy the feeling. Nothing you can do to hurry up the clearance of your CR data just yet.

Well that's interesting, I got all the credit reports online today. Call credit is showing defaults after my initial IVA meeting date so I need to rectify that. They are all showing the Insolvency on the record but I did a full and final a long time ago, should this not be removed from them all? I understand that my credit is shot, but surely the involvency if over should be removed?

Would love to know! Thank you!

As I said you will need to wait until the 6 year anniversary mark has passed - after that date the defaults should drop off automatically but if they don't you can get the creditor to remove them.

oh no I understand about the defaults, but the defaults are after June 2011 which they shouldn't be should they?

And also my involvency is still on all of them, but if that was over with a couple of years ago should that not be off? Sorry I am not very up on all this. I did a full and final fairly early on.

They should be marked back to the start of the IVA.

Your IVA will remain on the credit record for the full six years from the start but it will be off the Insolvency Register.

ah ok Kallis3 thank you. So it will be on the record anyway for 6 years whether completed or not. I will try to work on the default dates. Thanks for your help, I don't know what I would have ever done without this board and the fabulous people on it.

yes, it was the best decision we ever made but it has been a very long 5 years, I think the worst is when something goes wrong like a washing machine or something, then you either need to save, beg or borrow.

Well done .... re the defaults ask that they are amended to the start date of your iva - where they won't amend them keep going at them ..they have to.
