Hiya..last Nov I was told I had less than 5000 in equity..so my iva ended with having to do another year..now I'm getting letters and phone calls from firms about ppi..I had already done all this 3 years ago and sent the money into the iva..why am I having to do it again ..I havnt even had any letters of authorisation for me to sign..banks are ringing me up saying a third party firm is trying to claim on my behalf ..as instructed by the new iva firm who have recently took over my account

I think the Ombusdamn advised Banks to revisit certain PPI claims so IPs are being cautious and are revisiting.

You have a duty to cooperate with your IP, and in any event if you want the IVA closed you will need to deal with the PPI issue (again) I'm afraid.

If they are asking you to sign an assignment document this is standard procedure so they can close your case.

Hiya ty for you quick reply..its fine. .I have had another offer from the bank.they rang me this evening..They are dealing with me and not the 3rd party firm as they haven't sent any letters of authorisation for me to sign to instruct them to deal on my behalf..I will send it straight to the iva firm when it clears..that way they get the full amount and not a very small percentage like last time
