He doesn't have to. Treat the financial aspect as though you are house sharing, rather than living together. Agree on a rent, including services (your share of utilities) and claim this as an expense in your IVA allowances. You will still be restricted to a single persons food allowance and he will be responsible for his share.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Without disclosing it the IP will simply presume expenses are split 50:50 between you.

Tell your IP that you are moving in with your partner and paying a rent. Your standard allowances will remain so the income and expenditure account may not differ too much. It is a change of address and circumstances so you need to inform the IP.

There should be nothing to worry about. They will ask for details of your income and expenditure and creditors will be shown details of what contributions your are proposing from any surplus. Your Nominee should let you know if there are any areas of concern before sending the proposals to creditors. Best of luck.

I agree with Lisa that you have nothing to worry about. Your partner has no obligation to your IVA and provided you explain things to your IP there will be no issue with your IVA.

Don't put your life on hold as there is no need.
