what do youmean tell them what has happened. What have I done wrong? have I lost my money? they have it now I cant get it back I thought I was doing the right thing paying a lump sum, if I had done overtime to this amount I would have paid that in so what is the difference?
If you had done overtime the money would be paid in as EXTRA dividend to the creditors --- you need to speak to Aperture to make sure they have treated the payment as a payment in advance and NOT as extra dividend. Don't panic -- you have not lost the money and the IVA is not at risk --- it is just down to Aperture sorting it out.

You need to try to speak to someone senior --as I am guessing the last person you spoke to was a minion with no real knowledge.

Keep calm -- all is not lost.

Hi. I have an IVA with aperture. Ring them instead of emailing them, they are very proactive by telephone, so you will get all your answers in a phone call. I suggest you ring them tomorrow.

You need to clarify that the IVA is settled - as Foggy has said, it may be they take this to pay to the creditors and you just continue on until the end.

You haven't done anything wrong at all - you were possibly badly advised by the person you spoke to originally. I am sure you can get this sorted out tomorrow.

Take it slowly ... one step at a time, Dusty. It will get sorted.

What I meant was that if they take this money to put towards the IVA but not as money to pay it off in full, you may still have to make the five payments but this is something to be sorted out today with a senior member of staff and don't take no for an answer if they try and fob you off. You can threaten to make a complaint if they won't and that normally stirs them into action.

I called them they said once I pay the last £120 I need to cancel my DD . I then need to wait till June for closure and to send my wage slips as normal for a review in June.

No idea why I need a review in June but the woman was fine she said there is no issue here

This should be easily resolved but you need to speak to Aperture. Once they realise what has happened they can refund the money or use it as advance payments. Your money should be safe as it was a simple misunderstanding.

Cool -- yes, they have taken the money as payment in advance and the IVA will close at the time it was due to. A final review at the end is normal practice -- jusy tying up the last 12 months ( as they have dome previously each year).

And ...breathe :)

At least it has been sorted out now and you can relax. Send any wage slips you have now plus each new one you receive and this should speed the entire process up.
