Happy days today - Received my Completion Certificate from Aperture just 2 months after my last payment! Delighted is an understatement! It doesn't seem like 5 years since I started it but very glad it's over. I've been sensible and I still put my monthly payment away each month but to my savings account now...never had a savings account before but it's soon going to be looking healthy. Thanks for all the support over the years on here...it was a great website to find.
I've had a trouble free 5 years of an IVA and that's all thanks to Cleardebt and at the very end Aperture.

Hi - sorry - not been on here for a while and it's all changed - I couldn't work out how to raise a new question so I am tagging it onto my last post from last year....

Got my CC last June ( 2016), everything has been going great since but I am now going to be made redundant within the next 6 months...no set date as yet but the office where I am working is closing by year end - I'm not overly upset as I've been here for 17 years but I am just wondering whether any of it would still need to go to the IVA??

The only thing I remember signing was in regard to any additional PPI which may appear ( there won't be as it's all claimed) but they wouldn't issue my CC until I had signed it.

I assume now that any redundancy would just be mine to keep?

Thanks in advance for any info :)

If you have finished and got your completion letter then your redundancy should be fine. It's only PPI so don't worry - you don't even need to tell them about it.

Whew - Thanks for the reply Kallis, I finished at the right time as the redunancy has been looming since April 16 when we were told the office would be closing....

I did think that would be the case but always nice to check with you guys too :) So I can look forward to it now - taking a month or so off for a bit of a break before starting something new and easier!

Hoping I will last out till nearer October time before I get my marching orders but could be any time really...and at least all my Finances are in order with no debt to pay....and some savings behind me now too.

xx

As Kallis says -- this will be of no concern to your former IP or creditors. You don't need to give them a second thought.

I took early retirement on the re-location of my base office --- being debt free certainly made this more affordable.

Best of luck going forward x

Thanks Foggy - If I could retire at my age I would ( 44 ) - I will certainly consider a 4 day week though once I start looking for something new....my plan is to find some day to day office work - typing, answering the phone etc. I won't be going back into Management! Had more than enough after 17 yrs of it :)
It affects hubby too as he is also in the same office but it will be nice to finally be able to have holidays together!!!! Maybe even a very very long one if we don't find new jobs!..

Just thinking how the timing of my IVA starting / finishing has worked out so well - Still find it hard to believe I've gone nearly 6 years now with no credit!

Onwards & Upwards as they say, thanks as always :)
