Just checking in after 2 months since completing.
Thing are looking up, a little cash left and the end of a month, things not as tight as they were.
Just managed to get a small loan at 10%apr for a much needed new car, was so scared of being rejected! We did this through Clear score so had an idea of what we were eligible for.
So those of you just starting out or on this bumpy road, it's not all doom and gloom. Things will return to normal and more importantly you will be in a much better position.
This has made us so much more aware of what we can and can't afford.
Good luck everyone. Don't give up hope. It will end eventually x :D
IVA STARTED OCT 2010,LAST PAYMENT 18TH NOVEMBER 2016. COMPLETION CERTIFICATE ARRIVED 17TH DECEMBER 2016.

Well done Shaz :-)

Do tell us a little more about the car loan as this is something many of us run up against pretty soon after ending and having been keeping the banger going with string and chewing gum for a few years !

Foggy, we got it with hitachi personal finance. Applied through ClearScore as it showed 80% chance of being accepted. It was advertised at a rate of around 4% Apr, so didn't go up to much with our history. Only borrowed 5500 over 5 years @ £127 a month. Got a 13 plate car with 13000 miles so will see us through the loan all being well. Didn't have any issues with application and money was in bank the next day. :D

Excellent --- £127 is manageable -- not too eye watering :-) Thank you for sharing :-)
