Go through their internal complaints now and see how that goes.

Kallis I want to but I feel it might delay things more atm. I will complain once I finish though. It's unfair that other IVA companies seen able to stick to the process of 21 days but not them!

Thank you Foggy. I hope so!

If you keep complaining I am sure they will soon get fed up and sort you out

Hi Bex, we had the same with Payplan. Informed them 6th Apr 16 hubby been made redundant, had to wait till 14th Apr to have chat with IP to officially start F&F process,. Had done my homework, so on same day i e-mailed them all our letters re funds partly from redundancy & 3rd party, & mortgage redemption and valuation. Started 2 month payment break as thought this would carry us through to the meeting...... on 24th May the variation team e-mailed requesting various stuff to back up some of our allowances, supplied this same day. by mid June still heard nothing so I began pestering my case officer! despite him telling me the proposal would be though soon, we got it 1st July. We signed & returned same day (only bankruptcy comparison for the creditors was in it) and got meeting 16th August! long wait but I've maintained that, give them their due - they did a thorough job in our proposal and as you can see all was accepted. I did mention the 21/28 days to my case officer but like you, was told this was how it was. It was a waiting game due to back log. - yet like you, when the variation team got in contact, it was supply info ASAP or forget it - other people are in the queue!! Anyway, the timings seem to clearly still be the same with Payplan as it was with us. Keep pesteringthem and hang on in there! Good luck

It is not difficult to send out a variation so personally I would complain. I can understand why you would hold back at the moment but certainly give it serious consideration when eventually you do get the new meeting of creditors.

Thanks for this Kazza. I am hanging onto hope it surely can't be much longer. It seems to be about 3 months for ppl on here with payplan getting their meetings dates so am thinking it will be the same for us & as we offered end of January we are almost at that point now. Fingers crossed!

Thanks Micahel. I agree. Its not a complicated proposal so I can't understand the wait. They had valuation & redemption figure before it was even sent to the variation team to draw up the proposal & I sent wage slips the day they were requested. I am very stressed and I do understand we are not the only cases they are working on I still fell the time taken is very unreasonable.

Yeah fingers crossed for you Bex. It is frustrating but you'll get there and hopefully with a positive outcome. I found it a lot easier once we got the meeting date, then turned into a nervous wreck the week before!! Keep us posted :D

Hi everyone. Another update after more chasing via email and phone from me to Payplan (who have really tried my patience)

We now finally have the proposals and have signed and returned them today. However I am concerned what the outcome will be because it doesn't look good on paper. Creditors will hardly be getting anything in return as although we are offering 5k from 3rd party we are less than a year into the IVA and once fees from the offer are taken they will only have 2k to share between them. (We owe about 44k) The only thing in our favour is that bankruptcy will actually end up costing them more and they will end up another 15k worse off.
I know you can't predict the outcome of how creditors will vote but do you think we stand a chance??

What they are getting ion a F&F might well be close to what they would get if they sold the debts on, indeed, some might have already been sold and the buyers will be happy for a small return ... so it is impossible to say. I have seen very low offers acceoted before.

Thanks Foggy. I know no one can give me an actual answer but the creditors themselves but I just want to know we stand a chance at least.

Yes it's very stressful isn't it? They told me 3 months but it's actually even longer than that as we made offer end of January & only just had the paper work to sign. They now have to receive that back before they will book meeting which will be a minimum of 28 days as creditors need that much notice. That will make it at least 4 months!! And that's with me constantly chasing them.
