How do I now help repair and increase my credit rating?

I have completed my IVA in full and in September it will be 6 years since my IVA was accepted its been a long haul but I'm out the other side now.
My question is how do I now help repair and increase my credit rating? i.e. should I write to all of my past creditors asking them to update their files on me perhaps even sending them my IVA completion cert or apply for a credit card?

What is my best route?

Hi Steven,

As Foggy's guide says it's all about checking the 3 credit reports individually - don't use checkmyfile as it only shows limited information - to make sure they are clear and up to date. Along with that also make sure you are on the Electoral Register as that is a big boost on credit scores.
