Hi, did 6 years in an IVA with Aperture then waited 18 months for my comp cert. Had a call off them now asking if I wanted to take out a loan with their preferred partner and as I had successfully completed an IVA I had been pre approved and could use the money for a holiday, car etc. Is it just me or is it a bit hypocritical of the people who helped you to get out of debt to start encouraging you to get back into debt!!!!

You can make a complaint about unsolicited marketing at www.ico.org.uk.

From 250518 both IVA companies and IP's individually will need to be very clear about respective responsibilities and liabilities - otherwise they face fines of up 17m euros if they do not obtain consent correctly (and an IVA company does not have the same legal powers as the individual IP from what I can work out)..
