Hi all, 1st post. We've been in our IVA for 11 months now & so far all is going well. The advice we'd like is regarding my wife's phone. We both currently have sim only £9 a month we got as we entered the Iva, my wife's phone is now broke and we were hoping to get a small contract £10-20 per month but are put off by possible credit checks. We are with 3 & would like to stay with them, on their site it says to upgrade a credit check will be needed.

From people's experience would we have any chance of getting a contract & are there are suppliers who would be ok if we're in a Iva.

I was with vodafone throughout my IVA and upgraded with no problems -- they even gave me a second handset. We also took out a new contract with what was then T-Mobile.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I was with O2 and had no problems but it may be that you have to continue with a sim only contract. It might be worth giving them an anonymous call to see what their stance is.
