I had a Ppi payment from the Halifax payed to my iva company 4 years after completion. It was only £400. Cleardebt are no longer trading. Where's my £400 pounds gone? Obviously the Halifax paid to someone, but who. Halifax just say to your iva company. How do I know this £400 will be distributed to my old Creditors. I don't want it just to go into David Monds back pocket.

I believe the majority, if not all, of Cleardebt's caseload went to Aperture --- they might be able to trace this for you.

I'm not going to let this rest, as far as I'm concerned this is theft in disguise. If I don't get a satisfactory outcome I will be getting the police involved and the financial ombudsman service.

David Mond has now retired and I doubt the police would be interested. You can but try but, personally speaking, I wouldn't bother.

The money has gone somewhere. I intend to find out where. Not only that, but the money was nothing to do with ppi. It was a good will payment from the Halifax and as such I believe I am entitled to it.

You originally said it was PPI - however it may well cost you more than £400 to find out where it has gone.

Aperture should be able to account for it -- indeed, they have a duty to. As for entitlement that is for you to argue with them --- any PPI-like payment falls under the after acquired asset umbrella, even PPI itself is not specifically referred to in the IVA.

Best of luck.
