Hi, I’m sure someone else will put your mind at rest too but my personal experience as well as others have experienced this and is regarded as normal. It just takes time for people and systems to catch up. If your IVA has been approved then rest assured you are now under its protection. I was receiving creditor arrears letters for a couple of months after and I was advised to send them into my IP each time. Eventually they stopped. So that was the long answer. Short answer is yes it’s normal!
It often takes a few months for the IVA to filter through -- especially with those creditors who use third party collection agents. Either bin them or pass them to your IP.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
These companies are far too slow in making refunds when they owe money, but find it difficult for the elbow to talk to the posterior when someone owes them money! Took months for some of my creditors to get the correct information to the correct departments and stop sending letters.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues
Mine was a similar time. Today I had another call from First Direct who are still adding late payment charges to the credit card I had with them. I also had asked them to communicate in writing rather than on the phone previously. I just ignore their calls and let it go to voicemail then delete the message. In fact my phone auto rejected it as it was number with held. I love that feature and have used it since this situation came up.
Don't worry about them - nothing they can do once you are in an IVA. Send them to your IP.
