Hi - some IPs and creditors will want to see a period of maybe 3 or 6 months where no gambling has occurred to show you have stopped..

Also advisory to close all gambling accounts and get yourself voluntarily blocked.

It depends on the level and frequency of gambling and whether it contributed towards your current problems.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I have gambled in the past so understand your position. As advised it would be best to stop gambling as you may need to explain how you ended up where you are. Also seek help. This will show them you are committed to changing.

Good luck and hope you get sorted soon.

Hi, I gambled £5/£10 per week and had to show 3 months clear of this on my bank statements. I first made contact to StepChange in September and my iva was accepted yesterday. Good luck

I recently had an IVA accepted for an ex gambler - I verified seeing 3 months of bank statements with no gambling and evidence the accounts were closed.
