I have had some inheritance, i have an iva its been going now for 3 years and still have 3 years to pay at £70 per month. in total over the 72 months i would pay £5040. I want to pay them £6000 out of the inheritance but dont know what to ask for and how to do this.
Unfortunately, unless you can pay your IVA in full, you will have to pay it across.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

I am afraid that the whole inheritance is due to be paid to your creditors, up to the amount of the full original debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest, less what you have paid so far.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
So sorry Karen but as the others have told you all of this has to be paid over unless and until the total debts plus interest plus costs have been paid in full - only then would you get something back.
Interest is not always applicable and sometimes creditors will waive it.
