So today I have just received a letter quoting the wright case and that they would like to pursue my ppi - this is for my Iva that was completed in 2002
I understand they can now do this but I would like to know how long are supervisors allowed to keep client details for? Surely when an iva has been completed this long my details should not be on anyone’s system?
I’m also in my second IVA (3 years in) so I’m not sure how this complicates it.
Thirdly I did receive a ppi payout in 2005 but this was sent to my supervisor who advised the Iva was complete and I received the full amount. I no longer have this letter confirming this.
Sorry Not sure if these are questions or just rants, had to get it of my chest
Out of interest how long can/does a supervisor hold your details for once the Iva has been completed?
I’m surprised they still had them including all accounts which were in the Iva at the time.

They are obliged to retain records for at least 6 years, I believe. I am guessing with computerisation and records taking far less space they probably keep them longer.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Is that 6 years after the Iva has completed or 6 years of your Iva as after 6 years legally your Iva shouldn’t exist
The IP will retain records 6 years after completion. The IVA always existed. In law the debts get written off and credit reference files clear up after 6 years. The IP is entiltled to keep the records and, indeed, is obliged to.
