So....just to give an update
This morning the completion certificate finally arrived! Couldn’t be happier. It did take an extra few weeks of chasing but it’s here and for now that’s all that matters.
I shall be going to the bank and registering it to change our account and contacting the credit agencies and insolvency register to try and speed things along with us being removed! fingers crossed things will move along and we can be “normal” again very soon!
So grateful for all the help from this forum and we’re now in touch with Zebra to help secure a remortgage once able to.
The further looks bright after a long slog

Brilliant! You will probably remain on the Insolvency register for 3 months.

Depending upon when you started and I can't remember - it will remain on your credit files for six years.

The 6yrs was gone in february....hence our frustration at the delays. I have copies to send to all the agencies (I’m not sure if that’s my job or it will be done-can’t hurt to send them myself)
I will try and negotiate with the register and see if I can get us remover sooner-fingers crosses someone nice answers and agrees.

I tried that -- they just ignored me in the end ! But, sometimes it does come off quicker, despite them swearing to me that it doesn't happen !

Ok so the certificate arrived on 27th September. We sent copies ourselves to the insolvency register and the credit agencies.
The register confirm we will remain on as “complete” for 3months.
The credit agencies have all updated their records and our ratings have gone through the roof to 999, 5/5 etc etc. We did manage to retain mobile phone contracts and a next directory with credit so I guess that has kept some positive markers running alongside our mortgage to help.
Suddenly the credit agencies show high street lenders offering 95% chance of applications for credit cards and loans. (Not that we have any intention of getting them) I can’t tell you how nice it is to see on the screen though!
Just waiting out the three months to move forwards and remortgage now. 2019 looks bright finally.
