I'm not sure you will be able to get a new car on credit, even if you finish your IVA early. I suspect you will still have to wait for the 6 year anniversary to pass.
Walking to work it will have to be then!!!

Thanks Lisa!

Creditfix cannot 'overturn' a creditors decision, although they can try and convince the creditor to change their vote.

Hi Lisa,

Me again - coming back to this. I am due my annual review any time now and based on the result of that I am then hoping to offer an F&F - again! My father still has that 6000 in a pot for me to get rid of this IVA.

If you remember then great - but if not totally understand as you have hundreds of cases on here (as it were) but to cut a long story short - I made an offer of 5000 for 5600 of remaining payments as an F&F - it was rejected as I was told the creditors would receive a better dividend if i continued with the arrangement. We went in with a higher offer - well 5600 and again it was rejected.

This was 3 months ago so I have paid 140 x 3 more into the arrangement so my remaining payments will be now about 5180 (these are quite round figures) so if I was to make the same offer of 6000 then do you think this has a possibility of getting accepted?!

Thank you so much for your support and advice x

Katie -- I cannot for the life of me imagine why your first offer was refused, and even more confused about the increased offer !!! I do have my suspicions, however, that it might be linked to the debacle over CF amending the standard paperwork in these cases, which resulted in them having to cancel all variations until it was sorted out --- which it may not have been !
I wish you all the luck in the world with a new offer.
In a very Bizarre twist of this story - ((makes me think someone from CF reads this forum!)) I have just received a phone call from the new person looking after CF who is now looking after my case to say that they are going re present my offer to the creditors - now with slightly reduced balance remaining it looks more attractive - and there was a little bit of a hint that maybe I wasn't treated quite fairly first time round!
Nice of them to spot it and make the effort to ring me to say they are going to try again - a HUGE surprise.
But with experience I am not holding my breathe until I get that email saying it has been accepted - so I am just going to sit and wait - wish me luck.

3rd time lucky eh?!

Just thought you would be interested to know! Thanks Foggy

It would not surprise me if they did read this forum --- and of course your forum name will give away who you are. I am pleased that they do and that they appear to act on some cases presented here. It would be very useful if they had a representative here who could assist forum member who are their clients as well as putting their own explanations forward and, maybe, correcting any misunderstandings.

Best of luck with the re-presented offer, Katie :-)

Thank you very much Kallis! They have sent the report today for the meeting to be held on the 20th march at 11am!!! ((And counting!!)) This actually now makes me truly believe that my original meetings were never held as I never got any of this paperwork before! Despite asking for it!

Anyway = The full outstanding balance remaining in payments of GBP 5,040 has been offered - surely surely it's my time- 3rd time lucky!

Will of course keep all you lovely people posted! Thank you for everything thus far!

Hi Katie, wishing you good luck....this will make you laugh about CF....I got my draft paper work through for my f&f offer to the creditors but when checking it CF had made a mistake on it....on my original agreement the dividend was 17.62p/£ but looking on the draft paperwork for the creditors it was showing 27.88p/£.....I have advised them immediately this is incorrect and needs to be changed before it's sent off to the creditors!!!!

Just makes you think... If they can charge us for putting our offer through and were paying them to do this how and why are they getting very important documentation so wrong!!! Shocking

He best have sent the correct amended draft to them otherwise I won't be happy....

Katieweeks1.....check the paperwork before they send it .
