Hi,

So I’ve received the request for my review and for my bank statements it’s asked to be supplied by accessing my account by a company called Credit Kudos. I’ve nothing to hide but I feel uncomfortable supplying it this way. Normally they just ask for 3 months but would this be full access to more than 3 months statements. I don’t get how it works. I did it then revoked it as I felt uncomfortable so I’ve emailed my 3 months statements instead.

Anyone any ideas or will I get into trouble for not supplying it this way? :(

Unless it specifically says anything in your IVA then you do not have to give access to your bank account by anyone. I would certainly not do it.

I don’t recall it but then I didn’t recall my overtime payments needed declaring 🙈 ive generally just supplied it by email but it’s asked for a link to see it. I didn’t like it.

Tell them you will do it via your normal statements and will not be giving access to your bank account to anyone.

I would never give third party access to my account -- they do not need it and it isn't a condition of your IVA.

They said it worked and uploaded my statements but I had revoked it. When I’ve clicked on the link it says revoked so now I’m cross. I don’t even know how I can double check that they can’t keep looking at it 🤬

They may be trying it on - don't give in. Tell them you will send paper statements instead.

Check with your bank that there are no valid authorisations for third party access.

I have an active IVA with Bennett Jones (awful company) for the last 3 years they ask for 3 months bank statement and 3 months income. Now this year they are saying I have to use Credit Kudos. I have had some issues with a GDPR breach and having to dispute things on my credit file and don’t want to use this. Can they force me to do it

No, they cannot force you to do this as it was not an agreed method when you entered the IVA. I would have concerns about my IP accessing my account -- and even more so when they are farming out this authority to yet another company !

I agree - they cannot force you to do it and I most certainly would not let them have access to my bank account.
