http://www.freecycle.org/

not sure if anyone on here has heard of this site, but it is legit and is based on Yahoo groups. it basically allows people who are so minded to give away items that they are no longer needing to others in their area.

its free to join and has no obligations. its kinda like ebay, but without any payments

just a thought

The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,592 groups with 5,767,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free. To sign up, find your community by entering it into the search box above or by clicking on “Browse Groups” above the search box. Have fun!

Hi PB

I think a few Forum members have mentioned this before, thanks for updating the details.

My daughter swears by it, she got a lovely sofa and almost new highchair for my granddaughter a few weeks ago.
