As I was sitting in my chair, as to how to improve my in flow of cash. I was wondering if there is a scope to advice people in debt and introducing them if suitable to a IP for a fee.
There are firms that do this - and you will need to get a Consumer Credit Licence in the first instance. Not an easy feat these days, and you will have to demonstrate that you have experience in the area of giving advice. If you are seriously interested in getting into this field, it might be better to start as an employee and work your way upwards.
You could check with your area Citizens Advice Bureau.
Although it is only voluntary work, they are always short of volunteers, they provide training and you are not committed as such to any set hours.
Although you would be working for free it would get you 'recognisable experience' while you are looking for paid employment and I would have thought that it would be beneficial in any future job application.
You would have to be careful though if you are on any sort of benefits because it could be seen as 'not being available for work'.
Alternatively you may be able to get a grant of some sort from the DWP or The Local Authority if you can convince them that it is 'training' for work.
Also some voluntary service with them can lead to paid positions for full time advisors (I think though Im not 100% sure). They do pay your expenses.
You would obviously not be able to introduce them to any specific IP from here.
