I have had a look through creditors voting & can''t find anyone who had debts with Natwest! am I missing something? the only reason I ask is I am currently going through thr IVA process & was looking for some previous on their voting patterns as over 50% of my debt is with Natwest, their vote will be make or break methinks!
I do bank with Natwest but I have opened a Coop account & am hoping my payroll dept is efficient & they have changed my bank details in time for my next pay! fingers crossed for us both is correct, I think Melanie did say that Natwest were fairly receptive to IVA's so here's hoping... at least when we get our rsults we will know more.
The process has been pretty good really & as people say it is realising your situation & making that first call which is the hardest, I have up until now been managing to pay back the minimum but only be juggling money that is not mine! the wall has been getting closer & closer & hopefully I have confronted the situation before it smashes me in the face, hopefully the whole process will be quick & the letters & calls won't be to bad? I think everyone thinks it will go bellu up,self defence mechanism i guess!
Good luck with your IVA Billy1010 I am sure it will go well.
Hi again Billy and hello to Fox! I too am new at all this and am just where you guys are. We have a significant percentage of our debt with Natwest (I think Tina worked out about 43 or 48%) so when it gets to the IVA proposal stage I really hope they are sympathetic to us too!! Blimey so many of us all in the same boat! Need to keep propping one another up! I am dreading any of the credit hounding! Just hoping we can manage to take care of it so that we keep all that to a minimum! Good luck you guys!! Lets keep each other posted with our progress!

Still gathering info....but hope to be on the right path pronto!!
Hi, to you all
We have just got our creditors meeting date - 30th October. Don't think I will have any nails left to bite by then. The good news is that the calls have practically stopped. Most of the creditors have noted our position and call once a week or so for an update. In fairness, whilst they have come thick and fast, none have been rude and I have always tried to be factual and polite. It has got to my wife rather more but hasn't really bothered me. It's not as bad as a call from the mother-in-law!!!
The only creditor I was rude to was MBNA as they were rude to me. I told them that if they kept phoning me at work I would lose my job (not true) and then they wouldn't get a penny out of me. They never phoned back after that.
Everyone else was fine, even the ones people have had problems with, like Barclaycard.
I know it's 2 years ago, but my main creditor was Natwest and they couldn't have been nicer. They wrote to me to tell me that if I needed any information to contact them, but they never phoned me once. And they voted yes!
Iva approved! which I guess means that Natwest (50% of debt) said yes[:)], apparently my life ins of £9.82 was not allowed[:(], but I can live with that!
I will list the chairman's report in the other forum when I get it, big thanks to Payplan who could not have been more professional & helpful during the whole process.
Thanks to everyone on this forum without whom I would not have had the insight or courage to carry it through!
