Hi All
I have been watching the news today and a piece came up about property owners and council tax. They are having to pay large bills on property that is unnoccupied. It lead me to think about all our circumstances with the debts we have to deal with and I am wondering why more help is either not been asked for or indeed not been offered. Why for instance should the Government help the banks and financial sector with cash handouts but not help individuals who are struggling to meet their problems. I would have thought that the banking service would welcome the opportunity to write off debts and clear their books of the problem.
Thoughts please.
regards
John

Yes, they're taking the p***! In the news last week or two, the government said they would give extra funds to banks on the proviso they started lending again, but when research was carried some weeks later, it was found that banks had not done this i.e. not passing on the dough and keeping the money for themselves!
So much more needs to be done for the individual and businesses because after all, isn't it us that keeps the cogs oiled and turning?? It starts with the individual and it ends with the individual.
