If you are in an IVA, I doubt you would get a credit card anyway and how would you pay for it?
Why would you want to?

As plasticdaft says, if you are in, or thinking of an IVA, using an unused credit card is something you should be avoiding, in fact if you are already in an IVA, it is definitely not allowed!! I am currently proposing an IVA, and I have a credit card that has a zero balance, so not included in the list, but its been cut up. The idea of an IVA is that you get your existing debts under control, and then end up free of debt, not increase them by getting credit elsewhere.
I forgot to mention that if you are going for an IVA, ALL unsecured debts must be included in your creditor list.
If this is like Uptomyneck with zero balance, then you must cut it up.

Hi there,
Please don't use it, I am just starting my IVA process and the thought of using credit fills me with dread. If you are in an IVA don't do anything to jeopardise it, you are being given a 2nd chance , please don't spoil it. Cut it up, you'll thank yourself later .
