Hi,
Can we move house when we have just taken out an iva. Also, can we get married during the iva period. What happens if we get a bonus from work. Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

You can move house and get married during an IVA. Although you have to tighten your belt, you are allowed a life![:D]

You would have to check the conditions of your IVA, but usually overtime is anything over 10% of your normal wage, you pay 50% across and keep the other 50%.

Hi
You will need to ensure that moving will not affect your ability to pay your IVA.Also you will need permission of your IP if you need to use any of the equity in your house to fund a move.

Hi and Welcome

I agree with what Andy has said, but you need to consider, if you can sell you house as well, but also even though not impossible to get a mortagage when in an IVA, but the interest rate will probably by higher than the average high street bank, could be up to as much as 7-10%

I forgot to say, marriage is not a problem, but could affect your partners credit rating
