Hi all,
can anyone help clairify something for me? Hubby and I had our IVA approved (thanks to Melanie and her team) on 5th Jan. We have of course still been recieving letters etc from our creditors but what is really concerning me are the calls that i seem to be getting from Mercers, KPR and someone on behalf of Nationwide (who all coincidently did NOT vote at the creditors meeting). They are all saying that they have not recieved paperwork etc and that they have no knowledge of being in an IVA, therefore have actioned court proceedings against me!! can they do this? Have mailed Mel's office with exact details but thought i'd throw it out to you all 'cos Mercers have just this second called and have scared me half to death!!
xx

Dont worry, they cant do anything.
It takes a while for it to filter through the system.
This is just call centre staff who are probably working on commission trying to make you pay.
Just inform your IP.

Mercers have to be one of the worst.

Their threats are just empty ones - you are protected by your IVA.

Enjoy the phone calls knowing that you are protected under the IVA and that these creeps can do you know harm.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

If I had a fiver for every creditor who said that they had not received paperwork from my office I would be a judge on Dragons Den by now!

It is absolute poppycock, and I would simply ignore them. Probably most of them actually voted at your creditors meeting which would have been pretty difficult if they were not aware of the proceedings.
