Not quite sure I totally understand the question, but if you only have 18 months to go, then that is when your IVA should finish unless you have any arrears to catch up on, or if you have to remortgage and can't do so and your IVA goes on for another 12 months.

Hi
If your IVA was set for five years and as Kallis states you are not in arrears then yes your IVA will finish in eighteen months and you will be debt free
Regards
Check your proposal, it should say on there whether or not your IVA will conclude or whether it will carry on, if you are not sure, then Skippy is right, contact your IP.

our ip isnt exactly very nice to us and each time we have a review we have to jump through hoops to get an ok,they seam to be after every penny we have
There is no need for them to be like that - IPs ought to be helping their clients to make ongoing affordable repayments in the best interests of creditors.
They can only request from you that much of your disposable income you have left after all income including working tax credits but deducting all your outgoings which cannot exceed the CCCS guidelines.
Unfortunately you are stuck with your current IP.

Have you actually been speaking to your IP, or just one of the office workers?
