My creditors meeting is taking place now and i am so nervous I could be sick!!! It started at 1pm - should I have heard by now?

We are only offering 12p in the pound is this likely to be accepted - we are with Varnell Nuttall.

Any advice to stop me jumping out of the top window would be appreciated.

Good luck from me too. It might be worth giving them a call.

It is possible, if they are busy, that more than one meeting may be being held simultaneously. A quick call would do no harm, at least you will then know.

Regards.

Just phoned and they said that the team that deals with the creditors meetings are still in my file. Does this sound bad news?

Has anyone else had a failed IVA?

Hi Hammons hope it's good news when you finally hear, no news is good news so don't panic just yet. Do let us know how it goes and I'm sure there will be someone around later to answer any questions/queries you may have.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Luckily my IVA was approved [:)] with only a few modifications - Northern Rock asked for the IVA over 72 months which apparently is becoming quite common.

Strangely all of the creditors voted which surprised me and all said yes!

Thanks for all of the encouraging messages today I haven't felt so nervous since waiting to hear if I was pregnant!

Hi,

Congratulations you are now on the path to debt freedom.

Northern Rock seem to ask for 72 Months so nothing to worry about there.

Fantastic NEWS!!
I am sure you are delighted and a weight has been lifted of your shoulders!!
My Creditors meeting his next fri and I'm beginning to feel a little nervous - also because we are only offering 22p in the £. And one of my creditors is Sygma bank who have pestered me continuously.

We have been pestered none stop even yesterday we received about 8 calls plus someone turned up at our house this morning. Try not to worry (I can now say that with some confidence). I was really surprised ours was agreed as only 12p in the pound but this is honestly what we can afford. They did stop our dog insurance but it was a small price to pay for peace of mind.

I would not view the pestering as a sign that they will refuse but purely a mechanism to get you to hand over more money.

Best of luck
