just a thought i had when looking at everybodys avatars and countdown times
would the mods or andy be able to set up a "league" where every poster's time left would be put into a league format so we can see at a glance when people are reaching goals and when they are near the end so we can give support and see when folks have made it.
as we move up the league it would give that extra boost and give "newbies" the added assurrance that it can be done.
just an idea

Not sure how much work that would be behind the scenes but admin might be able to advise if it's possible. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Only problem is anyone who needed a payment break or got 12 months added in lieu of equity would see themselves move the wrong way and that would depress and demotivate.

No need for such a table and for that reason I am out!

I had a countdown timer but it wasnt moving fast enough for my liking so I got rid of it, 7 years is a long time to be looking at it,especially when I am regularly on the forum. So sorry, you can count me out, couldnt stand seeing those just starting out beating me to the finish line!!!!!
full and final accepted January 2015

iva agreed; August 2010
iva would have completed; August 2017
extra year thank's to NRAM

I know it doesn't apply to me, but I wouldn't want to be part of a league as if anything went wrong I would find it depressing to see my progress standing still or moving backwards!

ok then non starter.
just a thought as i like to see proggress in my iva.
trouble is those avitar counter dont show the real time to go as you point out no breaks or other circumstances are allowed for in them.
it wouldnt bother me if i had to have a break and move down a bit as this would be a fair outlook on how ivas are actully run and what implications we comeup against.
ahh well

HI
I think its a good idea and when you see somebody at the end then you can wish them good luck and for the new starters offer them advice and encouragement

it also applies to people who do f@f and shoot to the top.
i always look at jan as i think she's not that far in front of me with the same satifaction as my own status.
i would love to see everybody on here pulling for each other espescialy when new ones start out.
if i can work something out then ill ask if people want to be apart of it.
no probs if you dont[:)]

To be honest, I'm quite happy with my avatar counting down. Would not want to be part of a league table.

You have the one under your avatar - do you mean a picture one such as some of us have? If so, look at kazzafunks blog as she has instructions on how to do it.

Hi
I think we need to look at a way of flagging up people that are nearing the end of their IVA, so I will take on board your good idea back on track and will see if the tech wizz kids can highlight those coming to the end of their journey

Regards

The only stumbling block I can see with that Andy is that the ciuntdowns are all set to five years, even if they're running for six or seven years so it might show that you are due to finish even if you're not.

I did ask admin some time ago if the calendar could be changed and was told it couldn't.

Perhaps the countdown could work on a date the member puts as their planned finish date, similar to how the countdown banners work, rather than the standard 5 years?

Possible, at the moment though you can only put your start date in which then automatically defaults to 60 months.
