I'm getting a little fed up of GT. my IVa completion certifacate is due on 4th november. (6 months after my final payment).
i rang at the beginning for the month to ensure everything was on track, only to be told that it can now take up to mid Jan to come through! When i questioned why i was told that i would have to email the closure team to get some more information.
Emailed and got a quick response saying that a creditor is attempting to claim that was not on my orginal statement of affair - which they need to investigate before they can progress. Fair enough understand that they need to ensure dividend it shared equally. However when i requested the name of the this creditor (thinking maybe i could help speed this up) i've not had a response- its been over 10 days now!
Are they just stalling? I've checked my ornginal paperwork and all my creditors are on there- very confussed.
Hopefully moving house before Christmas- dont want this hanging over our heads and my certifate going missing!!
Sorry for the long rant....

Hi Sara,
We are seeing lots of posters in similar situations to yourself waiting for completion certificates from GT, so you are not alone. Did you have any PPI claims or credit card charges they may of been investigating? I know these are holding up completion & certificates for many posters.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

At least Karol's responded to customers concerns. Why the heck isn't Gemma from PayPlan? We aren't getting any valid information from their office, and I feel we are being stone walled. Really, really disappointed with PayPlan's lack of communication.

Thanks Justine - me too, for all of us who have fully complied with the terms of our IVA's, whose lives are on hold because we are at the mercy of some of these IVA companies, who seem their customers in distain, and can,t even be bothered to communicate on here or directly to follow up concerns. When Politicians do it, at least we can vote to get them out, but we have no voice or power. Do I sound cheesed off? Hell yes.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you hun , I agree with what your saying what annoys me and I can't blame GT here because I was moved over from B&E is that I found they gave a good spill and promised the earth at the beginning but as soon as they were getting their money you just become another statistic in there system , at the point I agreed to a dmp then the iva I would have sold my soul to the devil if it meant I could feed my kids .. sorry my rant over x

You're not ranting at all justine - to me that's you're lived experience. That's why I'm so upset and anxious about all this, and it's the fundamental lack of communication and appropriate customer service that has so many of us wound up. It's the experience of being kept in the dark and ignored that's so soul-destroying. We are real people with real lives, who just want to draw a line under the whole IVA experience. I make no aplogy at all for 'saying it as it is' in world world!

I think lack of communication and information seems to be everyone's biggest gripe here from different iva companies ,, I know this won't make you feel any better and it's easier said than done but try to stay positive you got this far and that's an achievement in its self x

Thanks Karol, appreciate it.
I was never missold ppi, in fact I never even had it on my loan- made them remove it. Even told gt this months ago when I received a letter. Was told I'd get a deceleration to sign- not had this but have been told that this wont hold up closure!
Hopefully Karol will be able to get to the bottoms of it'!

Karol,
any chance you could please chase this up again for me?
eventually had a response, however the creditor attempting to make a claim was already on the statement of affairs - just as Natwest and not RBS (same ref no. etc!)- so a massive delay for nothing!
Sent all the supporting documents but not heard a respond, i dont want this to hold up the closure anymore- as this is clearly an oversite by the claims team!
Thanks

Couldn't agree more with you on that one Gill, i have had more stress in the last 4 months of my IVA now that it has completed than i have ever had in the 5 years i was paying into this and all because of something that is out of my control, the HMRC was over a year ago, so that old chesnut is becoming a little stale and as for the PPI please don't get me started. xxx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
