Hi,

I failed an IVA a year ago as I was out of work. I am now in a position to do another IVA, will I be reconsidered for this or will it be a problem as I missed payments on my last IVA before it failed?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum,

You can propose another IVA after having an IVA failed.

Seek some advice from an Insolvency Practitioner about the best way forward for you :-)

Probably not that unusual a situation. If you were happy with your old company I would be tempted to ask them for advice as finding a good firm is hard to find.

Good luck.

Definately - we have done quite a few of these in the last year, and well done to you for wanting to have another go. So long as the reasons for the earlier failure are fully explained to your creditors, I am sure they will be supportive.

Plasticdaft - I am unclear what you mean when you say "finding a good firm is hard to find"? Can you clarify please, as I think there are a lot of good IP firms to choose from personally.

Not so much being "hard to find" but it is a case of sorting the grain from the chaff. This is where forums (fora??) such as this come to the fore ... and loads of research.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
