Hi, thank you for your message. No further forward at present. Still in turmoil and not knowing which way to turn. Am speaking to an advisor next week when I return home. I am still convinced I have too much equity in my home for an IVA, although I have been turned down for a remortgage by three lenders. I have never felt so stressed or ill in my life.

Hi I have an IVA where the debt is smaller than the equity in the house. It doesn`t seem to have been a factor that they considered in our case. I am not an expert at all but think it should go well for you . Good Luck !

Denise,
we were all scared in some way when taking the frist step, no one likes to think they cant work out there own debts.
you will be taking with a great company, that have help many on here and won't just leave you to get on with it, when time are hard. but will help you all the way.
IVA now over with and it was worth it.
now starting my life again,

Denise talk to Mel. You`ve nothing to lose, as Kev59 said she will do her best to help without prejudice, and at least give you some really needed reassurance, whatever the solution.
The first call is always the hardest but afterwards you will feel so much better.

I have been really unwell and so has my mother, so no way forward at present. I am still trying to recover but now have Laryngitis and have completely lost my voice. I feel so unwell and down. I know that the stress of all this has contributed to my health. Irony is that I do have some time free to speak to Mel's team, but now I have lost my voice, I cant actually talk. I do feel absolutely desperate

Denise, I buried my head in the sand for a long time, just made matters worse, the best thing I have done is emailed Mel's team, Tina called me back and got the ball rolling - I couldn't have asked for a more friendly, understanding, non-judgemental person to deal with. 8 weeks later my IVA has been accepted, I can now sleep at night and start looking at re-building my life and business.

Please make the call - I am sure they will make allowances for your voice. One thing I do know is that it will not go away on its own. Make the call and you will start to feel the weight lifting immediately. No more excuses - do it NOW - PLEASE.

Thank you Mel, I do appreciate your time and help. I have got some antibiotics from my GP now, so hopefully I will be on the mend soon.
