					Hello,
I know there has been threads on this before but with the banks changing their criteria so frequently I just wanted to check which banks anyone has successfully managed to open a basic bank account (preferably with a debit card) whilst in an IVA?
I know the co op are good but I heard they were not longer so IVA friendly?

Barclays are supposed to be friendly and Yorkshire bank
Co-op are fine with me but I opened the account 3 and a half years ago
I think you need to go to a branch but as far as I know they are still ok

Barclays were fine and allowed me to open a basic account.
Ffrees operate a pseudo bank account with no credit or status checks so allowed me to open an account (but don't currently support direct debits)
Yorkshire Bank declined me an account.
Co-Op despite me clearly stating on several occasions that I only wanted a basic account proceeded to submit an application for a full current account with an overdraft, then when I was declined decided to lie to me and stated that they don't allow customers to apply for a basic account unless they've been declined for a full account - I told them not to bother.
