I completed my IVA with Cleardebt last year (to be fair they were fantastic all the way through). However, after completed my final payment, before getting my completion certificate, I had to agree them reclaiming money for a packaged bank account I had years ago. I had no problem with this and indeed as part of the agreement, I had to use their claims company (DRSP) and I could keep the first £500 of any successful claim.

All the forms done and dusted last May and didn't hear anything. So I rang DRSP after Christmas and they said the case had been settled and about £1800 had been paid over to Cleardebt. I rang Cleardebt who confirmed they had receipt of the money. I asked about my proportion and they said they would arrange for this to be paid into my account. The money did not arrive. They have given me two different dates and the money still did not appear (despite them saying it would and me explaining I was banking on it arriving when they said). I have rang numerous times since, each time them saying they would chase this up and ring me back with an update straight away. They have not once rang me back.

It is a bit sour, because they had been fantastic (when I had to pay them!!), now the shoe is on the other foot... not so good.

I will give them one last time and then I will start legal action, through what was the small claims court (now renamed).

Hi, could this be to do with Clear debt being sold? I know when creditfix took over ours they took an age to catch up?

Cleardebt was not sold - part of their client book was.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Agree - only part of the portfolio has been sold.
