My husbands last payment was in January 17 we have been waiting for the closure bits as mine was finished and closed within 6 weeks. We called aperture who said they are waiting for a creditor to respond. We recieved a letter this morning from Santander to say that they have sold the debt to max recovery which is what I'm assuming is delaying the closure! But the debt was not sold until 29th March can they do this as we had finished paying it seems unfair we stuck to the agreement and want this finished and they delay it by selling it on so late

Debts are sold on in auction type lots ---- no-one knows what is in each bundle until the deal is done. Max Recovery are, at least, one of the more efficient companies who purchase debt.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
