Just had my first default notice through from Amex for a missed payment on the 28th Feb so they are quick of the mark. Do I need to do anything or just pop oit in the post to Melanies team with the other letters.

Hi there

Amex were very quick sending me a default notice through also, so don't worry - just send or fax to Melanie.

If your case is like mine this will be the first of many default notices you will recieve when they get wind of your intention to pursue an iva...

Best wishes
Emma

I received a default notice from Mint yesterday, they had just received my proposal. They said it was standard practice to send these out if you are planning an IVA, and there was nothing to worry about. When I rang them to query it they told me to ignore it .[?]

There was a little joke last year - I reckoned that EGG would send out a default notice to all new customers along with their new shiny credit card. It just samed time and postage!

Hi Buttercup,

Many of the credit card companies are insured against losses due to debts which can pay them a certain percentage out on the issuing of a default notice hence their speed at producing these documents, I shouldn't worry about it as due to this it is more for their purposes than yours.
