advice on early redemption figures

Hi all
This is a question for Ip's if they can help
I have been in corresp (rather parents have) i have Early red of £5000 on my mortgage, valid for another 3 and half years, been bankrupt nearly 12 monhs and OR in Nottingham is refusing to recognise ER figure - i have read on the forum that some OR offices allow it - what can i do???

Hi
It's strange that they will not recognise this given that the three years will be up within your early redemption period.Does the ER figure reduce as the years go on ?
I would have thought that they wuld be glad to sell the BI on and save the hassle of selling etc

No these dont decrease at all which i why i am finding this very strange, if they had to sell the house or i remortgaged these would be payable

In my experience the OR is unlikely to budge on this point - so if Paul can work his magic he deserves a large cup of coffee Zoe!

Hopefully Paul can work his magic - I have not dealt with Nottingham OR - However those down South usually take a pregmatic view - specially if all the facts are presented to them in a written report.
