I'd pay the necessary bills but then the family would come first.

Hi,

I have no regrets about my IVA,and if I had my time again I wouldn't change anything. This may sound daft but I now absolutely loathe the idea of having credit for anything other than having a mortgage one , and although this has been an extreme way for me to get into this psyche, it has worked nonetheless.
It has been a long hard slog, but we're nearly there.

It is great to see that sort of post - because the first year, and getting through the first review is probably the hardest part of the post-meeting process. By this stage people can have doubts about whether they did the right thing, and if their payments have been increased at the review, this can often cause resentment, but the journey is generally worth it, and you are almost a quarter of the way through now. Well done, and thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Hi
I'm at this moment getting all my paper work together for my first annual review. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I'm so glad I enetered into an IVA has been the most stress free year I've had in terms of finance for the last 6 years. It's such a nice feeling to be in credit at the end of the month, even if it is only £1!

Glad everything is going ok for you, the time has fled hasn't it?

Doesn't matter how much you're in credit as long as you are!

Just to repeat what everybody has already said. Entering into an IVA definitely has to be one of my better decisions.

Thank you. I actually feel more nervous about this than I did the creditors meeting. Just hope if my payments go up it's not by too much

I'm sure you will be fine - my payments didn't alter at all because everything has gone up!

Mine stayed the same throughout the whole term....a 2% pay increase per year doesn't go that far!

I've had a couple of payrises but my payments have not risen as expenditure has also gone up.

It is good to hear that you have had a stress free year gwdihw and I am sure you will fly through your review. Remember it is just as much for your benefit as the IP's, and you will only have to pay more if you can afford to pay more - and then only 50% of any increase.
